Fermented Foods

Have you ever seen or tried any fermented foods? If you ever had yogurt, beer or sourdough bread in your life, then you’ve already had fermented foods. They are produced by undergoing the process of ‘fermentation’, which breaks down the food substances by bacteria, yeast, or other microorganisms (like sugar is converted to ethyl alcohol).

Then, what’s the benefit of fermented foods? Not only fermented foods give unique aromatic taste, but also does the longer shelf life. And in fermented foods, probiotics, which often people consume as supplement, are naturally generated and boost your gut health. As cascading of benefits, it enhances your immune system, reduces inflammation and risk of obesity or diabetes.
